Prior to any injection, Stephanie will walk through the injection process, review medical history, complete an informed consent and answer any questions.
Pre-treatment expectations: Please arrive with little or no make-up. Avoid blood thinning medications like Ibuprofen for 48 hours pre-injection. No dental work 24-28 hours prior to treatment.
Post-treatment expectations: Possible mild bruising, swelling and facial tenderness. Avoid NSAIDs and limit alcohol intake for 48 hours. Avoid lying face down for 4-hours post-injection. No excessive sweating, saunas, hot tubs or heat exposure. for 24 hours.

Due to safety and sterility protocols, Stephanie does not split syringes between clients or save "leftover" hyaluronic acid.
On average, injectable hyaluronic acid will last for 1-2 years. Please note every client metabolizes hyaluronic acid differently and variances exist in facial region breakdown.
Dermal Filler products are contraindicated in clients with known hypersensitivity to any dermal filler preparations or to any of the components in the formulation.
Clients with history of severe anaphylaxis reaction, lidocaine allergies, significant autoimmune or neurological disease, pregnant or breastfeeding clients, those with history of hypersensitivity or reaction to dermal fillers or their ingredients, poorly controlled diabetics, those prone to bleeding or with known bleeding disorders, infected, inflammation or open wounds near the injection site, susceptibility to keloid formation, hypertrophic scarring or those under the influence of drugs or alcohol shall not be permitted to proceed with dermal filler treatments.
Administration of dermal fillers and all dermal filler products is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. There is no evidence-based research formally refuting or condoning the use of dermal fillers during pregnancy or breastfeeding, as it is unethical to study cosmetic dermal fillers in this protected class of individuals. It is not known whether this drug is excreted in human breast milk.
ADVERSE REACTIONS
All dermal filler injections pose risk of infection, thus standard precautions will be strictly followed.
The most common adverse reactions / complications of dermal filler, and all dermal filler products include, but are not limited to: product beading, clumping or bumping, headache, swelling, bruising, itching, dryness or redness at the injection site, temporary asymmetrical appearance or migration of product, facial pain, tenderness or discomfort, product ineffectiveness or failure of treatment, etc.
Possible serious adverse effects of dermal filler which may include, but are not limited to:
injection site infection, eruption of herpetic lesions, intravascular injection leading to permanent vision impairment, blindness, cerebral ischemia or cerebral hemorrhage leading to stroke, skin necrosis and damage to underlying facial structures, superficial necrosis at injection site or permanent scarring of the skin, etc.
Extraordinarily rare adverse reaction of anaphylaxis and death are unlikely to occur during or after treatment but remain a life-threatening possibility when any medication is injected into the body. Any signs of serious adverse reaction will promptly be escalated to the highest level of care immediately (treat with Hyaluronidase as advised through emergency protocol and contact 911).
